*Note that the statute has changed to $75,000 for personal property and $100,000 for real property.

In Arizona, if a person dies owning less than $100,000 worth of real estate, or less than $75,000 worth of personal property, title can be transferred (without going through the probate process) by using a simple affidavit procedure.
